Encountering God in Catechesis

Whenever I’m about to make a big decision, I always jokingly remind my friends “It’s my job to knock on all the doors; it’s God’s job to open one.” All my life, I have found this to be true. God allows me to run around pursuing opportunities, and then he simply opens the right door. The beauty of the workings of God in our lives is that he knows us so well.

Colleen Rainone was the Publications Director for The Catechetical Institute at Franciscan University since April of 2007. Initially hired by Franciscan University to assist with the co-publishing of The Sower with Maryvale Institute of England and promoting it in North America, Colleen worked on the editorial, design, marketing, and operations for The Catechetical Review. Colleen has worked in Catholic publishing for over 30 years and has published five of her own books.

About Franciscan Catechetics

The Catechetics Degree Programs and the Catechetical Institute (CI) at Franciscan University of Steubenville work in concert to prepare clergy, religious and laity to join the “army of catechists” called for by St. John Paul II, eager to help the Church in her mission of making all nations joyful disciples of Jesus Christ.
