Bishop Walker Nickless originally hales from Denver and was appointed Bishop of Sioux City, Iowa by Pope Benedict XVI in 2005. In 2009, Bishop Nickless penned his first pastoral letter Ecclesia Semper Reformanda (the Church is Always in Need of Renewal), which has formed the basis for evangelization in the Diocese of Sioux City and beyond.
